PROFILE OF YAYASAN BETHEL INDONESIA

Yayasan Bethel Indonesia (YBI) is a Christian educational foundation established in year 2015, with a mission to develop young generations who are faithful to God, possess strong moral character, and demonstrate academic and professional excellence.
Founded upon biblical principles, YBI integrates faith-based education with intellectual development and social responsibility, preparing students to become competent and compassionate leaders in various fields of life in serving God’s ministries to comply The Great Commission of Jesus Christ.

Since its inception, YBI has played a significant role in the field of Christian education in Indonesia, managing several schools and higher education institutions that emphasize both academic quality and spiritual maturity.
Before Yayasan Bethel Indonesia was established in year 2015, all our educational platforms was managed under Gereja Bethel Indonesia Synod which started and founded in year 1952 as part of the educational ministry of the Gereja Bethel Indonesia (GBI) movement, which founded by late Pdt. Dr. H.L. Senduk, who was the founder of Gereja Bethel Indonesia. This foundation is established based on the Indonesian Government regulations, which stated that all educational and humanity programs, must be manage under a foundation platform. The foundation began with a vision to provide Christian-based education that would shape students’ character and worldview according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
The first educational institution under GBI Synod, started as a small Bible school designed to train future pastors and church workers. Over time, when the foundation was establish, expanded its educational scope to include secondary schools (SMA/SMTK) and higher education, responding to the growing need for holistic Christian education in Indonesia.
Today, YBI oversees several senior high schools (SMA Bethel/SMTK Bethel) and the Bethel Theological Seminary, which offers accredited undergraduate, graduate and post graduate programs in theology, Christian education, Mission education and other disciplines. Through continuous innovation and commitment to excellence, YBI has become one of Indonesia’s respected Christian education foundations. YBI also encourage Bethel Theological Seminary in view places to set up for post graduate level of the Seminary. At this moment, only Jakarta Branch has the post graduated platform of the Theological Seminary. All the educational units have the same motto i.e. Servire Cum Virtute Spiritus Sancti, which means serving by the power of the Holy Spirit.
