SEMINARI BETHEL JAKARTA

The history of Bethel Seminary Jakarta began with God’s vision given to His servant, Rev. Dr. H. L. Senduk. On August 4, 1953, the pastors of the GBIS Petamburan Congregation, located at Jl. Jati Petamburan No. 25, Central Jakarta, gathered together. One of the significant outcomes of this meeting was the establishment of an evangelist training school in Jakarta. Consequently, on April 1, 1954, the first evangelist training course was opened at Jl. Matraman No. 54, Jakarta. On April 7, 1956, the Evangelist School was officially inaugurated, attended by representatives from the government and various churches.

As the needs in God’s ministry continued to grow, in 1958 the Christian/Protestant Religious Education Program (PGAK/P) was established, which later developed into the Bethel Jakarta Christian Theological High School. In 1980, Bethel Seminary was entrusted to conduct the development project of the Bachelor’s Degree (S-1) Program in Christian Religious Education, with a study duration ranging from four to seven years.

Bethel Seminary consists of four units:

  1. STTBI (Bethel Indonesia Theological Seminary)
  2. SMTK (Bethel Jakarta Christian Theological High School)
  3. SP (Evangelist School)
  4. Bethel Seminary Jakarta Dormitory
